in the moment vs. fast forwarding

Lately my studio time has been a bit scattered to say the least. 

I have been designing but it's been a combination of 

our house remodeling design and Multiple Blessings' design.

Both time consuming but both bringing me joy for sure.

But my current deadlines have included designing products for Christmas 2012.

Crazy to me in a way to be focusing so much on the future, but fast forwarding is part of this industry. 

Thinking ahead...color, trend, pattern, design. 

What will customers want to see? What will look best on the specific products? 

What will make them different and stand out in the stores?

Here's a teensy peek at designs in progress for this awesome company.

Speaking of...I am so over the moon excited about the photos I received recently 

showing me the sofa and chair I designed for Creative Co-Op. 

Can't show you yet, but I had tears when I saw them so I guess you could say I am pretty excited and honored that this is happening. It's all launching in June so stay tuned for that.

So living in the moment...enjoying the gift of today vs. fast forwarding to the future. 

I am sure I am not alone in this struggle.

In this fast-paced world, it's a challenge to not look too far ahead isn't it?
