trading ashes for beauty

Many thanks for your patience during my absence.
oh my, oh my....moving is emotionally and physically draining!!!!!
We're in the rental house and it's just perfect for what we need but quite....cozy.
The studio is still somewhat of a disaster but I am slowly getting that organized
since clients are waiting on art and deadlines are always in play.
Demo has begun at our real home and that has been strange and exciting to witness.
On this Ash Wednesday I pondered the recent bon fire we had on our old back patio.
We burned old documents and things we needed to toss but couldn't find the time to shred.
We're trading ashes for beauty with this home renovation
...turning yucky and old into beauty.
And so I am reminded of this in an even deeper way because God does this with us, for us.
He will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of despair. For the LORD has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for His own glory.” Isaiah 61:3
What a blessing, what a gift.
grace.

Hope you have been well.
I have missed you here.
I think we should have a give away this weekend...
if you'd like to be a part of that check back here soon!
Blessings,
Caroline

  1. Amen! And right after reading your post, a commercial came on about the "deaf, blind adventurer" who said, "when you believe what is IN you is great than what is in front of you, you can do anything" - well, we know it's WHO is in us, not "what". And just returned from my 4th rehab appt and my attitude is changing from "it's too painful to do this" to "I CAN feel better and BE better."
Definitely....beauty from ashes! Thank you, Lord!
